the future of clothing... microchip dress

As I was doing my daily reading on the Vogue Forums and the SMH (Sydney Morning Herald) I foiund this intersiting thread and news article aboout this mechanical dress designed by Hussein Chalayan. The dress is made out of microchips and PVC panneling, which allow the dress to change and alter themselves so that you can have a dress that changes itself, when you go to a party and you see someone else who is wearing the same dress as you, you will be able to alter it so that you will be wearing something different.
I think that the only problem that I would have with the dress is that, if it malfunctioned on you and it started to undress itself or start to change when you didn't want it to change. And what would happened if it didn't want to come off and then you would be stuck with this dress on you becuase of the microchips malfunctioning. According to the SMH who described the dress as something that was out of the 1960's films.
Chalayan's futuristic offerings nevertheless seemed imbued with many of the same
1960s sci-fi influences seen in many of this season's collections, as in his
grey and silver shift dress and a series of colour-contoured and tulle-overlaid
rag dresses.
In my opion this would not always work as it may start to malfunction, and then you would have major problem if your dess starts to come up on you are start to undress.
