katie holme's wedding dress

well as you all know that katie holmes and tom cruse got married earlier this week; and i would have thought with Giorgio Armani ammarini designing your dress that you would have something really spectacular, but all i've got to say is that i thought that it was horriable and look like somthing that was really old fasion. I was imganing that he would be designing something that is more modern, as armini is a high fashion designers so i just imagined somehting different. I acctually think that is looks quiet like a 'grandma' dress, maybe that is the look that Tom Cruse and Katie Holmes were going for, to make her look a little older, becuase of the age gap between the two.

fashion crimes....

I was sitting in class today thinking about the worest fashion crimes that I may have commited or that other people have commited over time. But then I started to think what is really fashion crime, because something that may be a fashion crime maybe a sense of style and fashion to the other person. For example when you see someone who is wearing to differnet types of patterns together or too many colours or colour. But I think in the end of the day it is all up to personal style and what you believe to be in fashion.

From personal experience I have been walking down the street to uni and have people laught and point at me because of my fashion and on the same day i have people say that I look really funky and cute. So I believe that fashioni is up to you and you think fashion is.

Lily Allen for Chanel

According to the Sun in the UK, Lily Allen is going to be the new face for chanel, there has been a lot of controversity of this over the last couple of days due to people believing she is not the what chanel is about. However I think that it will be a fresh change for chanel, as they are trying to change there image of there company from what maybe seen as an 'old lady' company.





Ideas of this was first seen want Karl Lagerfeld, invited and flew Lily Allen to the Paris Chanel Coutre show. Lagerfeld is the chief design for Chanel, he feel in love with her down to earth style and laid back attitudes to fashion. Lilt Allen burst into the Queen of Chav with her trainers on and big gold hoop earrings on. I think that this will be a fresh change for Chanel, as it is different from the normal faces in which they normally have. The faces in which Chanel has already had are Nicole Kidman and Kate Moss just to name a few.

skiny supermodel ban...

In the recent shows in spain shows supermodels were not allowed to walk due to them being to skiny. This has been the seen in some of the worlds top 10 supermodels, this is due to them being seen as underweight therefore there height to weight ratio, was not correct according to the ABC News US, that it was due to a model dieing in a recent fashion show in South America. For the models to be able to walk in the fashion shows they had to have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 18, which is seen as the healthy weight for a model to be walking in the show. I think that this ban on supermodels being to skinny is a good thing for the fashion industry, due to the fact that is shows young girls that it is not getting the body image that you have to be skinny.

This skinny ban has not been carried through all the fashion shows of recent Paris' show because they believe that underweight models should not be banded. This is due to the Paris show corridnator think that it is nto going to solve the health issue in young girls becoming anoeerixic. They believe the only way to stop young girls being obessed with the idea of being super skinny or anoerixic.

There has been some controversity seen over Australian super Model Gemma Ward who is current the 2nd ranked catwalk model in the world. As she did not turn up to the Milian show, people are speculating the reason why she did not turn up is because she is was scared that she would not be allowed to walk due to the new standards.
